PTGi International Carrier Services to Offer IceHook Systems' Cloud-Based CDR Storage Solutions

Company’s First Wholesale Collaboration Since Acquiring Arbinet Corporation

HERNDON, VA.,– April 11, 2011 – PTGi International Carrier Services (ICS), a wholly-owned subsidiary of PTGi (Primus Telecommunications Group, Incorporated) – OTCBB: PMUG, today announces it is now offering Slinger,  a cloud-based CDR storage solution developed by IceHook Systems, an emerging Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) provider.

Slinger, a proprietary, cloud-based solution, provides a modern-day alternative to traditional data backup services. It provides telecom carriers a long-term Call Detail Record (CDR) storage tool, accessible through a web-based interface. This easy-to-use CDR management tool provides carriers with a storage backup and retrieval system for billions of records.

By providing direct access to stored CDR’s, Slinger is an easy alternative to searching through antiquated tapes or files archived in storage facilities. With flexible system administration options, Slinger offers IT Managers the ability to administer tiered access levels for different user groups. According to Chad Harland, Director of Billing at Transcom Enhanced Services, which uses the CDR storage product, “Slinger takes the grunt work out of maintaining records.  It has allowed us to securely backup our records, while shaving 90% off the time it takes to retrieve historical call detail records.”

“PTGi ICS’ technology-based solutions for carriers have been, and continue to be at the forefront of innovation,” says Randy Weinberger, President of IceHook Systems. “PTGi ICS is a logical channel for IceHook and we are excited to bring the Slinger solution to their customers.”

“We are constantly looking to provide our customers with the best products and services to augment and support their business requirements,” adds PTGi ICS President John Melick. “As the need for CDR storage and retrieval increases due to federal legal and regulatory requirements, our customers need a reliable and flexible CDR service to assist with backup, recovery and retrieval of their call data; Slinger provides that. PTGi ICS’ customers now have the ability to gain cloud-based access, and search capabilities of all stored records, instantly.”
